What you will learn
After successfully completing this course, you'll be able to:
- Understand basic concepts that underpin ecology and conservation biology, especially in a New Zealand context.
- Discuss the importance of ecological principles for understanding the functioning of New Zealand biota and ecosystems.
- Identify common indigenous New Zealand plants and animals.
- Evaluate human impacts on New Zealand ecosystems and biota and the benefits of restoration.
