由中国园林博物馆、新西兰林肯大学、北京林业大学共同主办，北京自然博物馆、中国科学院植物研究所标本馆、清华大学、北京朴信文化传播有限公司协办的“白云之乡——新西兰国家公园的故事展”在中国园林博物馆三号临展厅开幕，并举行展览开幕式
林肯大学和林肯农业技术公司和中国农业部签署“中新节水农业示范推广合作项目”备忘录
该项目自2016年启动以来，在中新两国有关部门的指导支持下，在两校共同努力下，已经开拓出一条培养食品专业领域的高水平人才的通道。首批学生中，90%的学生顺利获得了硕士学位，30%的学生还获得了双学术学位，更有1位直入博士
项目采取3+1办学模式，即本科前三学年在云南农业大学就读，第四学年到新西兰林肯大学就读
